Ms. Alaska 2007-2008
Bridgette Boissonneau-Wilinski
From America’s Last Frontier, I am Bridgette
Boissonneau-Wilinski, proudly representing Alaska!
I was raised between Alaska & Massachusetts and was active
in sports, dance, theatre, music, and then in high school, pageants. For me, the best part of pageantry is the
interview; I think it’s because I love to talk!
Two of my most won awards have been ‘Top Interview’ & ‘Miss
Congeniality.’ While I have never won a
national title, it was always the experience, and the fun I had, that made it
worth doing again.
It is because of my past pageantry experience that led me to
open my own small business, Renaissance Productions. I primarily work one-on-one with companies to
help better customer service, or interview/evaluations during a takeover or
buyout. However, I do also work with
pageant girls in interview skills and public appearances. I am also on the Alaska committee to bring
the film industry to Alaska. I also work
in administration/human resource director for a carpentry school.
I am a board member on the Miss Alaska America Scholarship
Foundation, and a volunteer for the Miss Fur Rondy Pageant (a winter festival
pageant). I am also the 2008 recipient
of the Executive Award handed out by the State of Alaska. And as Alaska will be going back to preliminaries
for the Miss America, I will be directing in an area (several small towns)
called Kenai Peninsula. I’m so excited
to start!
As Ms Alaska Classic Beauty, my platform will be one that is
truly close to my heart; “The Ultimate Gift: Organ/Tissue Donation.” As an organ transplant recipient at the age
of 17, I want to be able to share my story, as well as others, so that the
public can understand the importance these types of donations.
When I’m not working or doing pageant-based activities, I enjoy
reading, theatre, traveling, playing tourist in my home state, singing
(poorly), organizing community service projects, and vegging on the couch. I also love to be with children (whether
mine, my friends, or the girls I “mom” in pageants) & sharing the uniqueness
of Alaska with them.
