Stayc Velarde
Stayc Velarde graduated with honor’s from Miami Sunset Senior High in1984. She was chosen for Who’s who in
American High Schools for 1982-1984 and for a special honor’s program called
the Leadership program. Stayc graduated from Miami-Dade Community College with
2 degrees; an Associate’s of the Arts in Early Childhood Education and an
Associate’s of Science in Early Childhood Development, while maintaining a 4.0
average. Her chosen profession for the last18 years has been as a Preschool
Gymnastics Director. Stayc has managed many gymnastics facilities across the
nation, including owning 4 in Miami, FL. She is currently the owner and
director of GYM-agination in Coppell, TX.
Stayc is
passionate about supporting Queen for a Day. She became involved with QFAD in
2003, as a volunteer titleholder. She is now the director for the Dallas chapter of Queen for a Day. Stayc is also passionate about
supporting the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. Stayc was recently awarded an
ambassadorship for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Stayc became involved
with the cancer related programs, after she finished cancer treatments,
about 10 years ago. She makes many
appearances to help raise awareness and funds for research, treatment and
counseling.
Stayc has
been involved in the pageant industry for the last 20 years. Stayc is the
Classic Beauty Director. She has competed in many different systems and has
held state titles including Ms. Texas Plus America 2003 and Mrs. Texas Achievement Ambassador and the national
title of Mrs. America Worldwide and Outstanding Woman in America 2006 Stayc has
judged pageants all over the country for organizations, such as, COED, Galaxy,
USA and MAO. In addition to judging and competing, Stayc has also emceed
pageants. Stayc also owns a pageant consulting program for ages 6 and up,
called Cinderella Bootcamp.
Stayc
resides in Coppell, Texas with her husband Edgar and their cat, Cophie and dog,
Jesse.
